Bill is a healthcare engineer, facility planner, and security consultant working on VA projects throughout the system. He has a deep understanding of VA design standards and operations. Bill is a retired VA Supervisory Healthcare Engineer that served as the Capital Asset Manager (CAM) in New England’s Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN 1).
Previously he spent 11 years in the VA Boston Healthcare System as the Engineering Manager of the West Roxbury VA Medical Center. He specializes in renovations in active medical facilities, regional and facility master planning, VA planning systems, capital budgeting, emergency management, safety, environmental compliance and energy management. Bill has worked on projects in 12 VISN’s at over 35 VA Medical Centers and nearly 100 leased facilities.
Prior to the VA, Bill worked for the Army Corps of Engineers as both an Army Officer and Department of the Army Civilian where he worked on Environmental Planning projects to include Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), regional GIS implementation, IDIQ contract solicitation and management, and a full rewrite of the New England District’s regional safety program. After Army Active Duty, Bill spent 17 years in the Army Reserve as a Regional Facility Planner, Regional Facility Operations Manager, Battalion Commander and Deputy Brigade Commander.
